Are you torn?

Are you unsure of who you are going to vote for when November rolls around? If so, go here http://abcnews.go.com/politics/MatchoMatic/fullpage?id=5542139 and take this quiz. It gives quotes from McCain and Obama and you choose which quote you agree with more.

Cute Pics...

I am in the process of scanning old family photos and couldn't resist posting some pictures of Kim, Jamie & I when we were little. I don't know about some of our haircuts, but I think we were awfully cute!

I have a new ride!!

Aaron & I bought me a new car...first brand new car I have ever had :) It's a 2008 Acura TL. We looked the 2009 Honda Accords, but I just couldn't get past the back of the car. I wasn't a huge fan of it and decided that we weren't going to settle. The TL was a smoother ride and had some features that we liked that the Accord didn't have. I have always driven Honda Accords, so I had a hard time getting over that, but at least I am still in the Honda family! We were going to hold off and see the new body style for 2009 TL, but decided that this was the car we wanted and we were afraid that the 2008's would be gone, if we didn't act fast!

Well, Ike decided that he wanted to hit Orange hard. I talked to Uncle R and he is afraid his house is under water. A friends son, who didn't evacuate, drove around Orange yesterday and he was unable to drive down Uncle R's street because the flooding was so bad. One of Uncle R's friends has 5 feet of water in their house. Uncle R was in great spirits last night when I talked to him....he is staying postive and hopefully, his house won't be as bad as the others. Here are a few pictures to show the flooding...it's amazing, Orange is no longer a city...it's a lake.

GO AWAY IKE!!!!

Please keep our family that live in Texas in your prayers. This morning officials came knocking on the door of Uncle Richard to tell him that Orange was under a mandatory evacuation. I am so thankful that Uncle R is evacuating because when I talked to him Wednesday night, he said he was staying put. He and our cousin Mike & his wife Sheila, who lives across the street, left their houses without boarding up the windows. I have so many childhood memories in those 2 houses. Uncle Richard lives in the house that my dad grew up in and Mike & Sheila live across the street in Aunt Sadie's (my dad's aunt) house. Kim, Jamie & I spent many, many fun days playing in Grandmother & Grandads house, as well as, Aunt Sadie's. Aunt Sadie's driveway is lined with beautiful, big Oak trees...it would be devasting if those trees fell. I pray that when they return, the houses are still standing and that the damage is minimal. We haven't talked to Uncle Mark, who also lives in Orange, so keep him in your prayers, too. Take a turn IKE and please don't go messin up ORANGE!!!!!!!!!
