Lawn Mow!

We headed down to Papa's office yesterday, so Carter could play on the lawn mow ... that's what he calls a lawn mower!  He was in hog heaven sitting on it!

I think Carter has fantastic fashion sense.  You gotta love the tennis shoes and jammies!  He wanted them on, so I figured, why not!  : )

A Bucket of FUN!!!

Since it's been so hot outside lately and Carter loves to play outside, I have been coming up with "cool" things for him to do.  His most favorite activity is playing in a bucket of water...which almost always ends up soaking him.  After the bucket is empty, he walks over to the faucet for me to get him more water and he does it all over again!

Another way to stay cool is to drink Mommy's water!  He learned how to drink from a straw!

In the words of my grandma, Carter is a messy marvin!

15 months!!!

I thought it was time for a monthly update!  I can't believe Carter is 15 months old!  

Here's what Carter can do:

• has lots of new words - apple, Bu (Uncle Bill), ta to (thank you), ope (open), ka ka (coo coo), outside, ba boo (balloon), says Gaga for Lady Gaga, again, off, bubble, Alex, dirty, dot, puppy, moon, birdie, a ga (all gone)
• says meow when asked what a cat says, says moo when asked what a cow says, knows that a train says whoo whoo, knows where his hair is, can point to his tummy & ears (most of the time!)
• points to pictures in his book and says what sounds like that is when he points to a picture
• follows instructions well -- he will go to his room when you say "let's go to Carter's room", he will bring you his shoes when asked, if you ask if he wants to go outside, he goes to the door
• loves to have books read - he brings me a book and then turns around and gets in my lap
• plays pat-a-cake  - will clap hands, roll them and throw them in the pan!
• walks very well and almost runs at time
• can make a fish face :)

• is a great eater, but lately green beans are his favorite veggie
• has a slight obsession with the shed in the backyard!  Always wants to get in it
• loves to have someone draw a magic circle on his tummy - will lift his shirt up for you to do it
• likes to blow on toys and make noises

• shakes his head yes or no when you ask him a question
• stayed in the church nursery and did great!!!
• likes to have his clothes off - after a meal when you take his bib off, he reaches for his shirt and says off
• likes to play with his plate & spoon after dinner 

• sits in his big boy car seat -- still rear-facing, but that will change sooner than later!

• will clap when you sing If your happy and you know it, clap your hands and also shouts hooray!  He is so proud of himself when he does this
• LOVES to find the red balloons in the book Goodnight Moon

• learned how to throw - which is good and bad!
• got his 1st cold :(  
• has 10 teeth and 2 more coming in
• is starting to use a spoon -- it's messy, but he has to learn!

We feel so blessed with Carter -- he is such a happy little boy and just a joy to be around.  I never knew my heart could love someone as much as I love him!

 He was so proud of himself this morning....he ate his yogurt all by himself!
