Full of it!

he's saying cheese, but it kind of looks like he isn't happy :)  I found a bonnet and a shirt that was a size 6-12 months and he insisted on wearing them....gotta love his sense of style :)

Last Saturday, Kim and Jamie hosted a sweet shower for me.  We had a great time and the food was yummy!  I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family.  Here are some pics from the fun day!

Carter says some funny things and I wanted to put them on the blog so I don't forget!

• I am going to smile you -- when taking someones pictures
• Can you smile me? -- when he wants his picture taken
• the other day we were driving and could smell some bbq cooking at a nearby restaurant and he said "What do I smell in my nose?"
• It's fully -- when something is full
• doesn't like his big boy bed because he says there is hair in it
• we put him in a crib again and he says there are screwdrivers in it
• he wanted his bedroom door open after I put him in bed in case helicopters flew in
• told me that baby sister was going to have blue, green & red hair and blue fingers and pink toes :)
• he tries to pick up baby sister by touching my stomach & lifting up and says she is heavy!  He said she needed a diaper and tried to put one on my stomach
• loves to make up words -- tay-angles..they are dirty and stinky and dangerous & only Carter can touch them, foolie...something that he says is pink, says he wants to foodle (who knows what that is)
• he told me there were green beans on the coffee table and I said "are you kidding me?"  and now he says "are you kidding me, mommy?"
• I told him I was getting ready to go to Mamie's house for my baby shower and he said "make sure it isn't too hot, Mommy"  love the way his little mind thinks!
• likes to say things like "I like milk better than Mommy likes cranberry juice" "I like juice better than Daddy likes tea"
• was in his jeep with his friend Ethan and said "going to get beer with Ethan!"
• loves to say things are similar
• the electricity went out at my doctor the other day and Carter told a lady in the waiting room that the light man needed to come turn them back on

He's quite the character and makes me laugh!  I love him :)

And because it's hard to post without a picture of my favorite little guy...here's an oldie of Carter riding Alex's scooter :)  I think he looks so cute in a helmet!

Puddle Fun!

Big Boy Bed!!!

Carter started sleeping in his big boy bed Monday....it's been quite the adjustment!  This is by far the most challenging thing in 2 years of raising Carter.  I feel so guilty moving him out of the crib and into the big bed, but it has to be done.  He was very excited and asked to sleep in his big boy room before it was ready, but now...not so much!  He wants in his crib and he wants his bumpers :(  Each night gets a little bit better, but naptime isn't easy at all!  He gets up and down, opens and closes the doors and calls for me.  It's quite exhausting to say the least!

First attempt in big boy bed was naptime on Monday...he never went to sleep!

Crusin'

This jeep has been sitting in our shed for years with a battery that didn't work, so we borrowed Will's battery and let Carter take the jeep for a spin!  He loved it - he doesn't quite understand how to steer, so he just goes in circles, which is fine by us!  Love his smiles...he was so proud and so happy to finally be able to drive!

35/35

35 weeks mean only 35 days left!!  Oh my word...it's flying by so quickly and becoming so real, especially when I received these shirts in the mail last week!!

We are excited to meet our sweet baby girl, but have so much to do, so she better not decide to arrive too early! It's crazy, at this point with Carter, we had already finished his nursery and we haven't even started her's!  We, well Aaron....will get it painted just as soon as Carter's big boy room is ready!
