Carter & I pulled out the sprinkler one day last week...he wasn't thrilled with it on full blast, but loved it turned down low :)

 After lunch, we decided to let Caroline join in on the fun and played with the water table!  They both enjoyed themselves :)

Funny Boy!

Here are some of the latest funny things from my cute boy!

• I told Carter it was time to come in for a minute, so I could put Caroline down for her nap and he said  - I'm so tired of doing that.  It's a beautiful day, she wants to be in her stroller :)
• He was helping me work in the yard and he touched the shovel that had been laying in the sun.  I asked him if it was hot and he said yes, why is it hot?  I told him because it had been sitting in the sun.  He said well, I guess maybe it needs some sunscreen
• While we were eating lunch he kept saying - you've got to be kidding me, my chip broke.  you've got to be kidding, there is a bean
• The other night when I was putting him to bed, he said "Hey Mommy, can we talk again like last night?"  LOVE his heart!
• He told Caroline she was adorable when he put her sunglasses on her
• He told Aaron that he was acting like he was 3 .. he's right, sometimes Aaron does act 3 :) 
• I was looking at Caroline's teeth and said "I wonder if she will ever get any top teeth?" and Carter said "if not, we will just have to buy her some!"
• He told me that he loved me the biggest of the whole world --- Be still my heart! 
• I made some oatmeal butterscotch cookies because Carter has been asking for oatmeal cookies.  We read a book and the Grandma makes oatmeal cookies.  Here's what he had to say about the cookies...."Um, those oatmeal cookies on the page taste better than these"  Gee, thanks Carter :)  He later decided that he liked mine, too :)
• I was working in the yard and I asked Carter to please stay out of the monkey grass and he said "why?  are there monkeys in there?"
• Told me that Caroline was full of herself and that she is something else!
• He was playing in one of the kitchen cabinets and said to me "it is very important that you not touch these when I am over here"
• He was pretending he was cooking and wanted me to try his food -- "Here come some chickadees!  Wanna try some, I know you will like them!"
• Likes to say - did I do that before I was 3 or when I was 3?
• tells me all the time - I don't need your help!  He is getting very independent!

He's a great little boy -- he has his moments, but don't we all :)  I love his fun personality.  I love that he still lets me hold him and sing to him before bed.  I love that he lets me kiss his boo boos.  I love his excitement over little things. I love that still asks me to hold him when his little legs get tired of walking.  I love that he says "I need you, Mommy" I love that God gave him to us.  He is a gift and we love him so very much!

Wagon Ride

Last night, we put Caroline in the wagon for her first wagon ride! She loved it and I think Carter enjoyed his little passenger, too!  

It's nearly impossible to get a picture of both of them smiling and looking at the camera at the same time!

Serious Conversation

Carter likes to go into Caroline's room when she wakes up from her naps.  The other day, he grabbed his stool and had a little conversation with her :)  He loves his baby sister!

Sweet Sleepers

10 months!

OH MY WORD....10 months!!!  DOUBLE DIGITS!  :)  What a fun, busy month it has been!  Caroline is a wild woman, but oh so much FUN!  We love her more and more everyday!

Here's what Miss Caroline has been up to this month!

• pulls up on just about anything

• can crawl on all 4's, but still prefers the army/inchworm method of crawling
• still only 2 teeth!  I can see another one on the bottom about to pop through and she looks like she is close to getting 4 on the top
• sits up in her bed or pulls up and stands in it.  The first time she stood up in her bed, she started crying because she didn't know how to get down

Don't take my picture...get me out of this bed :)

• does not like to have her diaper changed or clothes changed!  In the words of Papa "she is like a corkscrew"  :)
• is B U S Y!!!  She doesn't sit still for long...this girl is on the move and into everything!!  
• jabbers all the time!  She is quite the talker!  She says NO!  Just the way Carter says it to her...with a little attitude - says Mama, Dada (a few times!), Hi, No
• she is a Mama's girl for sure!  
• Carter has taught her to raspberry whenever he says toot -- He'll say - toot Caroline or did you toot and she will blow raspberries!
• loves to play peek-a-boo
• loves to read books -- she takes her little fingers and points to things on the pages
• starting to like Puffs a little more and she feeds them to herself

• is starting to cruise -- wonder if she will be an early walker?
• dances when she hears music
• drank a little milk from a sippy cup

• Will say OOH if you ask her what a monkey says
• likes to love on Carter's stuffed animals
• stills loves to wave Bye-Bye
